What about the convenience store skank that works 24 hours a week and gets God knows how much of a refund at the end of the year while on food stamps and ebt. I've been working since I was 15, single guy no kids I pay more than my fair share.

If employees and convenience store people have it so good, nobody is stopping you from doing what they are doing....

Of course you pay your fair amount, it's the people who earn less that should be paying more. Got it.

Lets do the math. 24 hours a week. Lets say $10 an hour for easy math.

    $240 a week gross. x52 = $12,480 a year.
Paying in state taxes, SS, etc. $X.XX (doesn't matter for this math)

Federal tax rate has her at 10% upto ~$10k earnings ($1000) and then her ~$2480 is taxed at 12%. (~$300) = total $1300 federal.

How much do you think she gets back at the end of the year? Standard deduction due to Trump now is about $15,000 a person.

How much more do you think she should be paying? What %?

For the record, I always love the EBT comment. My favorite EBT user is a family military member (thank you for your service?) who lives in a $300,000k house, has a brand new $60,000k vehicle, wife that doesn't work (also new car) (dependa!). 7 kids and enjoys his EBT benefits. Pretty sure he buys shrimp and lobster at will. Huge Trump supporter. White as a sheet. Lives in the South. Go figure.

Subsidizing starvation wages with our tax dollars. That’s corporate socialism.

that wage worker at McDonalds, doesn't pay for the uniform she wears to work, the company does (an untaxed benefit to the employee), and the company deducts them from company profits, the self employed person, that deducts clothing, is just doing the same thing as the big corporaion

Company only pays for it if it mandates a uniform.

But it's not the same thing.

It would be the same if the employee at McDonalds came in in full motorcycle gear, said "this is my uniform today, pay for it" company said "ok" and then you just kept calling whatever the fuck you wanted as uniform in the future for as long as you liked.

A person being killed in self defense and a person being murdered are both on paper a dead person and even the same action, however they are not the same thing and get treated differently.

If the self employed person just deducted their work uniform, sure. Apples to apples. You start deducting suits, bike gear, halloween outfit because youre going to a social meeting to find new clients, toothpaste because you need white teeth to get clients, toilet paper because you can't stink to have clients, $80,000 with of hair cuts a year...

    That's when it's called abuse.

Ironically the same people that say "I do nothing illegal, I just follow the law and do what's allowed"

Are the same people that have a problem with others who legally receive government benefits that they qualify for. "THEY shouldn't be getting it. It's abuse. THEY don't deserve those things"

    Cant have it both ways.

    See g21 post above.

Thanks for attending my Ted Talk

Fun edit: wage worker at McDonald's doesn't pay for the shirt. Still pays for pants and shoes that get worn, damaged and worn out at work.

She must have it so good.

Why is the low wage worker a she all the time? The counter skank, the McDonald’s worker...
It’s as if you’re also subconsciously misogynistic too.

The prez yesterday said “we’re getting your husbands back to work, and everyone wants it...” it’s as if he’s saying the quiet part out loud too.
    Birds of a feather.
Deplorable, I think the word was, the lot of you.
