So.....ah....
In my quest to save money to build a garage, I bought a 2003 Kawasaki Prairie 360.
Makes sense? Nope. But my wife is a jew and it was a hell of a deal. Didn't want her family disowning me. (har har)
Nearly ready to roll for fun riding. Just need to score an original oil cooler assembly and tack on a couple front mounts back onto the frame with the welder.
She rides great, runs solid, brakes work mint, 2/4wd engages on the fly instantly and the front diff lock works tits. It's a progressive clutch style diff lock, you want more posi, you squeeze more.
It's not a speed demon, but my intent is primarily for around the property wood acquisition where I can't get with the International or the Tacoma.
Looking for a little cart to tug around with it like R7 has. Except no Yamaha's. I'm turning into the R7 of Kawasaki's over here.
Any good large ATV forums to sign up on? I'm not lookin into modding it, but a nice winch and plow setup will be good for post-plowing cleanup in the tight spots I can't hit with the 20' long IH in winter trim. Also want to find that stock oil cooler ASAP since the one on there now has no temp sensor, so the fan won't run. Ebay has been no help, looks like they are a wanted item.
Recommendations for decent all around use tires? It's got the stock Dunslops on there, still plenty of tread (low miles quad from what I can tell) but I'd like to replace them eventually with something more universally enjoyable.
Who has 4wd utility quad friendly trails? This thing fits in the back of the Taco with nearly have an inch to spare with the tailgate closed, so I'm game to go riding on it until the shoulder is healed enough to ride the much-less-feminine-than-a-quad-since-quads-are-for-girls dirtbike.
Teach me you fem quad riders!
