Did the repack and plug. Bike got louder, lol. fuel screw out 3 1/4 turns, No big change in running, well, a little less backfiring, but still a little rough to me. Next up is raising the needle. Might even go to a 48 pilot.

Paul, are you refering the the "air screw" (on the bottom of th carb)? The more you turn that out the leaner the pilot mixture is.... and the harder to start etc. should be about 1.5 turns is normal.

Also try increasing the idle a bit above normal.

Interesting, I thought my WR250F has an airscrew.

It's a fuel screw. Out is richer. I'm gonna try raising the needle and maybe even going to a bigger pilot.

Oh for fuck's sake! I decided to dig a little deeper into the carb to see if I can find out why this thing is inconsistent. I pulled the slide out, and wasn't expecting loose parts, and these little black plastic wheels went flying. wtf? I could only find two of them around my gravel driveway. Did I lose two, or did the last guy? I'll never know. I'm quite sure they are not available as individual parts though!!! F$%@&!
