8/11 Dirty ride 4PM intil

Wed after work Dirt ride? I can load up and be at either Franklin, Wrentham or Oxford depending on interest.

This will be my first return to the dirt in 3 years on an old 2 smoke, so don't expect much of me....

I work until 3:30 right off 495 in Milford and will have everything in the truck ready to ride immediately ater work!

I also have to say, being in milford near 495 is nice since it puts you right next to Franklin..gamorg and I went yesterday and it was a blast!

PM me the details on how to get into Frnklin or an address, as I have never ridden there, I thought you could get to the entrance from 495 to 140N than a right at the first light after 495 before hitting the train bridge.

Maybe if we aren't to smelly after hit the 99 for a drink!

I still plan on riding Franklin Wednesday also, as a co-worker is planning on joining. I will be there between 4-4:30 depending on when people are available. I can run a few errands if there isn't anyone that can get there that early. No biggy..

according to the dcr website, the plate *should* be on the back and most people bend it around or mount it directly to the rear fender, like on union's CRF250 here:



but a lot of people will mount it on the front number plate without getting any hassle. Just keep the little folded registration card with you and the plate mounted where it won't get ripped off if snagged on a tree or the bike tips over (which it most likely will)



for the most part, your directions are relatively correct...495S, right at the end of the ramp, left at the first set of lights, and your first right is forge hill road

he's back, and he's ready to rock!

squid and I went for a couple hours down at Franklin today and for his first day back, he did awesome!



we both had 200's:



and this thing is pretty friggen saweet...starts easy, runs good, sprung right, and just charged through the trails



we ran a loop of the main forest and part of the beaver pond loop but the weather was good, the trails were relatively dry, no major dumps, and the woods were practically our own. good ride today

that may have been my last ride for awhile too, so thanks for coming out man

Wow that picture make me look like I knew whatI was doing!

Holy crap am I tired. I forgot how much dirt riding kick your ass! Sooo much work.

The 2 stroke is far more work to run as far as motor is concerned. More shifting, but weighs much less which is nice for manuvering though corners, so easy for me to work it though the trails.

This bike had wads of power and it's nice that it kicks over so easily! I didn't feel all that 2 stroke kick power band yet as we were taking it easy, because It's been three years since I have been dirt riding and definately out of shape!

Thanks for showing me around this afternoon! Even though I feel as I had the crap beaten out of me, I had a good time!

BTW I will be at Franklin at 4PM Tomorrow (Wedn 10/11) as origonally posted if anyone would like to join. If you plan to get there later I am sure we will be doing loops and can be back at the water tower to meet you.

I felt much better out ther today in Franklin. I am getting used to the bike and we stuck to moderate trails .

It was nice riding with you guys. It looked like you were doing well on that old KDX.
I'm happy to be back on the bike after my eye surgery 3 weeks ago.
It's too bad they fenced off the old building, you would have had a blast drifting that low KDX on the concrete flat track style.
