    Aftermarket Handlebars

Any recommendations on aftermarket bars for a KDX? I bent mine pretty good on the first ride. I will be crashing a lot, so durability is good.

    Find the shape you like.
I'm pretty sure it hasn't been upgraded to 1 1/8" right??

7/8. Is it worth going to 1 1/8?

FLEXX Bars Flexx Handlebar - Moto - Fasst Company

Expensive but I like mine and I have yet to hear of someone who didn't find them to be good for the type of terrain we have here in NE. If you can find them used you might save a couple of bucks.

Chipper is going against the grain as always.

I love the flexx bars as well. I don't know if it's worth upgrading to a 1 1/8, but that is the new standard in bars, there are more options in that size. Pick any major brand in a bend you like and go with that. I'm a little concerned that your pretzeled your bars. I have crashed off-road as much as the next guy, especially while learning, and have never more than slightly tweaked mine. Hopefully no injuries. Maybe the stockers are made of butter??

Its also possible that they were already bent and I didnt notice, or they were bent back into place once or twice before. I looped it on big flat stepping rocks.

    Re: Aftermarket Handlebars

I've bent every type of bars I've tried except the Renthal Twinwalls. I have a unique ability to fall in such a way that the bars bend. Although I will say that the 2 sets of Renthal Fatbars I've bent were pretty damn hard crashes (once at Loudon in T1A, once when I sent my MX bike into a 3rd gear cartwheel). 1 1/8 bars are definitely worth the upgrade, IMO. Way more durable.

    Re: Aftermarket Handlebars

A damper was a much better piece of whizz-bang for my rdidng. The flexx's just didn't really do much. Plus, I lost valuable bar length for a route sheet holder and stuff.
