Haha "the negative of the sport is the crashing part of it"

    Understatement of the century!

Motocross and surfing, my personal leaders in stuff that's much harder than it looks. Flying planes (in good weather and a functioning airplane!) and playing guitar, probably are a little easier than they look. Not that they are easy, just a little easier than they look once you get the hang of it.

Fricken MX, I doubt even Ricky Carmichael would describe that as easy.

I guess while I'm on the subject...(Cue America the Beautiful song haha)...as much as people like to talk about the pussification of America, and couch potato videot kids, etc, it warms my heart to STILL go to almost any offroad or mx race and see it PACKED with people willing to spend tons of money, time, and risk to participate in this tough ass sport, for no logical reason except that it's gruelingly awesome. It's the polar opposite of video games and pussification, and it's got PLENTY of takers

That nails it pretty well. The thrills of MX are hard to replicate. Very high highs and very low lows. It takes a lot of work to do it well. And as Beek says. It is so much harder than it looks from the sidelines. Even at the novice level it is way harder than it looks. The pace that the pros go is something that few can achieve.

The addiction is the high of getting it oh so right. That perfect berm shot. That perfect double jump. That perfect rip through the whoops..

Nothing but nothing compares to a charge through the first turn...

Oh my god I'm getting goose bumps just typing this...

    Fuck...
