So.....ah....
In my quest to save money to build a garage, I bought a 2003 Kawasaki Prairie 360.
Makes sense? Nope. But my wife is a jew and it was a hell of a deal. Didn't want her family disowning me. (har har)
Nearly ready to roll for fun riding. Just need to score an original oil cooler assembly and tack on a couple front mounts back onto the frame with the welder.
She rides great, runs solid, brakes work mint, 2/4wd engages on the fly instantly and the front diff lock works tits. It's a progressive clutch style diff lock, you want more posi, you squeeze more.
It's not a speed demon, but my intent is primarily for around the property wood acquisition where I can't get with the International or the Tacoma.
Looking for a little cart to tug around with it like R7 has. Except no Yamaha's. I'm turning into the R7 of Kawasaki's over here.
Any good large ATV forums to sign up on? I'm not lookin into modding it, but a nice winch and plow setup will be good for post-plowing cleanup in the tight spots I can't hit with the 20' long IH in winter trim. Also want to find that stock oil cooler ASAP since the one on there now has no temp sensor, so the fan won't run. Ebay has been no help, looks like they are a wanted item.
Recommendations for decent all around use tires? It's got the stock Dunslops on there, still plenty of tread (low miles quad from what I can tell) but I'd like to replace them eventually with something more universally enjoyable.
Who has 4wd utility quad friendly trails? This thing fits in the back of the Taco with nearly have an inch to spare with the tailgate closed, so I'm game to go riding on it until the shoulder is healed enough to ride the much-less-feminine-than-a-quad-since-quads-are-for-girls dirtbike.
Teach me you fem quad riders!![]()

hey, I talked to my sister in law and she is almost positive she has the trailer/cart to tow behind it. I will find out for sure and make sure it's still at their house and we can grab it for you
This is what she looks like for those of you who didn't see Biggity's ad.
It looks the same now, minus the nice bikes behind it. Or garage.

Sweet! I have way more fun on utility quads than on sport ones. But I like mudding and rock crawling a bunch.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
If you "think" riding the quad will be less stress on your shoulder, or whole body for that matter, you may want to rethink that oneThis coming from someone that rides both bikes and quads...my quad kicks my ass FAR more than the bike does riding the same trails at a similar pace.
I can offer no help on ATV forums, I don't visit any of them anymore..well except for YFZcentral, but I doubt that site would be much help.
For the tow cart, just make sure it's heavy duty and the deck is low to the ground. Hauling stuff in and out of the woods gets tricky. You also don't want it wider than the quad, it'll make turning around trees and rocks a real pain in the balls.
It'll be at least another week before my place dries up so it's rideable, but if you like tight trails, lots of rocks, and have good under carriage protection, maybe in a couple weeks if it stays somewhat dry?

Here's my little rig, the way i have it figured, 6 loads like this makes a cord

Plenty of quad trails by my place, but thats a hell of a haul for you.
I rode a quad for about 2 weeks and got bored with it.
Here is my epic crash on a quad in the winter

Being hard on my body isn't the issue, it's landing on my right shoulder again.
I hit a large loose rock on the 125 in November and went down hard on my right side. Didn't have a chance to even pull my hands off the grips. Just SLAM down on my right side.
Can't throw a ball without a shit-ton of pain. Can't sleep on my right side.
So I figure a quad has a lot less of a chance of me slamming my shoulder into something than a bike.

Is it a physical therapist? That is a long time for that much pain. Hope you get better man.

welcome to the world of quads. thw 360 is a solid piece. i had a friend with one. his was full time 4wd. didn't know 2wd/4wd became selectable on the 360's. i believe you have linked brakes.
i'm near you and i can hit trails from my driveway. hit me up some weekend and we will tear it up.
i run maxxis zilla's. there cheap, light and way better then a stock dunflop's. i wouldn't go bigger than 25's as the 360 is not a power house.
rockymountainatv.com good source for aftermarket and stock parts.
if you buy a plow set up i'd go with moose. there very solid.
Anyone recommend a place that sells the Moose plow setup for for cheaper than retail?
