battery question

My battery seems to be dead everything i've found says its a 12 volt 9amp battery my charger doesn't have that as an option would i be able to charge it at 12 volt 6amp?

NOOOooo... you'll cook the poor thing at that rate.
Go no higher than 1.5 amps, and even at that rate keep an eye on it.

Is this a sealed battery? If so you'll really want to get a charger made for them, they require higher voltage to fully charge.

my charger has three settings 6volt 6amp 12volt 2amp or 12volt 6amp. i take it none of these will work to charge the battery? only reason i ask is it claims it can charge small battiers including quad ones.

Then use the 2 amp 12 volt setting. Just keep an eye on it and unhook the charger if the battery starts to get hot.
