Yeah, they needed some big ass chain saws to clear those blowdowns. It was outta my league, but the farmers around here have the tools for the job. Definitely worth coming out for an afternoon. I think I'm booked this weekend, but let me see what unfolds. My plan is to ride weekdays after work. 3:30-5:30ish if that works.

What are you doing to the house?

I got a good hour of riding in after work today. The track is mint. I got a really good feel for the new setup. I pulled the bars back a little and I felt more comfy right away.

It definitely shines when pushing hard. At low speeds it feels like there's marshmallow fluff in the steering head, but once up to speed, it's more like a 250F, just not inclined to getting out of shape. I picked up the pace in the heaviest whoops, and not once did I have a moment.

I actually turned the damper down to like 1.5 on the dial because it was prone to plowing in the deep sandy corners with it any higher. turning improved and it still kept things in line.

It's so much less work to ride this bike now, I can't even tell you. Anyone who has ridden at my place will tell you that an hour will kick your ass, but even with my tender shoulder, I feel totally fine. Arm pump was not as bad as usual either. Overall, it has transformed the bike. I can't wait to test it out at Crow Hill. That's where I struggled the most with headshake.

house: had a bunch of rotten/cracked siding, entire section between garage doors needed to be rebuilt structurally and whole exterior was due for new paint.

damper: sweet! hope it proves to be just as valuable at CH. did the shakes occur before and after the GMD tweaks? i cant remember if you went more stiff on everything to cope with jumps then this issue popped up (?)

The bike has always been unstable at speed. Peter softened it up a lot an it improved, but something about the 2 fast spots at CH just really sets this bike off.

Thursday night at the track was great too! No rain! Can you sneak out here tomorrow afternoon?
