R7, are you inspectable with that 200? I'm gonna get yellow plates for my 125 if nobody buys it. If it sells, well, I don't know if I'll woods ride my 250F

off topic: you gotta be kidding me...there was a guy on the TT forums upgrading from an XR200R, was thinking about an 86 CR250 that needs crank bearings/seals...I told him to save his money and sent him your way, but it looks likle he doesn't like good advice

    back on topic: siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

    Nice bike Clinton!!!
Let me know when you're set to ride. We hit up Hogdes at least once a week when the snow melts.

I've honestly never gotten a motorcycle inspection sticker on any of my bikes, but if I were to put a horn, left mirror, and dot rubbers on it, it will pass.

I'd like to go back to Hodges as well, it's only 45 minutes from me. Only made it there once last year on a 90+ day and still had a kick ass time. I think there's a little over 20 miles of trails there.
If you end up with a street plate, just another half hour down I-395 is Pachaug State forest. There's an awesome 62 mile trail loop there for street plated bikes.
You're also welcomed to come here and ride, the smaller/lighter bike will be a blast on my trails

wow, sweet, didnt realize Hodges is up around 20mi now. i can zip right down 290 and be there in about a half-hour. same distance, but north, to hit Crow Hill. i feel spoiled for legal spots (at least with the way things are these days). i still haven't been to Franklin either. hit most of the others before though.

yeah, i've heard a lot about Pachaug, so a street plate would be really nice. reminds me that i may need to snag the 2011 tank to bump my fuel capacity.

thanks for the local offer, been watching your trail burning threads, sounds like a great time without any other plate hassles.

just got the word back on the rest of the 144cc kit, dirt cheap to get the missing parts i need to reinstall it. think i'll just go that route for a season before bumping to 167cc.

    Re: Got small-bore smoker? CHECK!

sure thing prob see eachother out Pauls way

supposed to come in around ~217 dry. actually a little heavier than my TC... but i don't know how the FMF stuff changes any of that vs. stock.

def not as crazy-light as some of the KTMs but the weight is low and reports say it feels insanely flickable. barely a motor there. my favorite line while researching was, 'the handling feels almost telepathic' ... and others agreed. WANT! NOW!

Yeah, despite the weight, the bike will feel totally different than a four stroker. The weight is carried much lower. A little weight is actually good in the rough hack and for traction. I actually think my KTM is too light sometimes... only sometimes. The rest of the time it's like mt biking on crack. Woot!

    Re: Got small-bore smoker? CHECK!

yeah, gonna take some getting used to. that's why i'm trying to build up bottom end power as much as possible. think i'm going to have RB Designs do the carb too. divider plate install, low circuit mods and mixture screw mods. see where that gets me before dumping cash on the PWK. i'm working with a guy that's been modding/testing this bike for the past few years. awesome resource and crazy nice guy to boot! all relatively low cost options which rules.

on the weight, yeah, Huskys are know to be a little, ah husky! i dont feel any weight issues with my TC at all. they sorta overbuild stuff for longevity. that's a good thing in my book.

I hear all good things about the RB mods. Was tempted to send em my PWK, but never did. I wouldn't worry too much about bottom end. These bikes want to go fast in the woods by nature. You'll want to flow more than grunt it out. Again, more like mt biking.

this is a good point and i'm finally coming to realize it. the reviews of the 167 really had me frothing but since i already have most of the 144, might as well optimize everything and just run with it. i'm no pro anyway, i just want a super-capable little bike for F.U.N.

on the carb, it just seems like a 38 is pretty large and potentially hard to jet so the divider plate should really help the transition points. again, this is from reading feedback with everything in stock form. RBs plate goes all the way back to the slide, unlike the PowerNow i was thinking of trying.
