I just put a FMF "Q" silencer on last week. The actual exhaust note is much much quieter. However, the engine is still loud as hell. All the 'ring ding ding ding' noise now emantes from under the gas tank as opposed to out the rear fender. Gave it more low end as well.
Oh yea I finally learned how to shift gears in mid-air, and hit the brakes. WOO
Yeah, I know that sound. I just picked up a KDX and it's sooo quiet! The dual walled expansion chamber eliminates most of that ring ding from under the tank. I'm never going to put an aftermarket exhaust on. I love it. As soon as I'm around the corner, the noise of the bike is gone.
The KDX is a sweeeeeeeet bike.
Congrats Paul.

I have one that someone abandoned at my house. :D Its a sweet ride, lots of fun in the woods.
That's funny, I was gifted this bike as well! I love it already. Since it was free, I'll restore and upgrade it a little. Front suspension being the first mod...
Paul
Believe it or not... I have a Penske Triple adjustable fot the KDX. Interested????
New or used? That might be a little outta my budget! What I really want are some .38 springs for it.
After riding Beartown today, I think I'll leave the soft springs in there for now. :hmm:
