Don't let the reg stop you at a time like this. I know MA just issued official lee-way on a bunch of their stuff. It's a pretty simple explanation that you avoided visiting the town hall needlessly, and assumed they weren't issuing that stuff right now anyway.

    Re: Bumpy tires again

FYI - I just purchased and installed a new Shinko MX216 90/100-21 "Fatty" front ($56). I really like it, although I really loved the GoldenTyre GT216AA 90/100-21 Fatty as well (about $100). The Shinko is about half the price, and seems to work just as well as the GoldenTyre.
The GoldenTyre wore pretty fast - and only time will tell how well the Shinko lasts...

IMO they're still decent even when pretty worn. But their performance takes a rapid nose dive at a certain point. Especially with rear braking. How'd you do for time on it? I've got 54hrs on mine right now and I'm probably pulling it off after this weekend.

Oh, I have no idea how many hours. I did ride a lot this season due to quarantine.

I ran a Kenda Ibex up to about 375 miles down in WV the week before last. I was starting to shed some knobs, but it still hooked up. It was a lot of mud and wet rocks, so the tire took a beating. The bike's a 500 EXC, which is pretty good at killing rear tires.

think this is my 4th or 5th IBEX rear, they don't last at all, but boy are they grippy. knobs actually do feel like marshmallow.

i gave up on the Fatty front a season or so ago, got tired of the feel in anything but perpendicular rock hits. moved to the Shinko 90/90 GT copy (little less fat) for a while but it's too stiff and knobs are peeling off already, do not recommend. feels OK at 10psi but still stiff and skittish overall.

since i'm still in love with the IBEX rear, and a buddy has been raving about the IBEX front, decided to give it a go. slick fall conditions will be a perfect test. he likes it most on off-camber rocky climbs.
