We use these blocks/ rollers like a big assed pulley, at work, made by the Skookum company. One of the west coast guys told me that they are so tough that they call other tough and strong things skookum. I don't know what other nonsense they are rambling.

Yeah I'm game. It's mostly all noob friendly with the exception of a few lines on the hill climb section, the rocky section, and maybe the log loop. I'm at about 3 miles of trails at this point. Previously it was basically 2 small loops with a connecting trail between and about a mile of ride out and back. I've added a number of small trails that interconnect the 2 loops at different points, now it has some decent flow. I also have a good sized grass field that's great for practicing those Graham Jarvis .25 mph whoolies and other hood rat stuff.

Anyway, it's more like a training ground than a large trail network, you'll be riding the same stuff all day. I love it because it's in my backyard and with a 1 year old I wouldn't get much seat time otherwise. It is shaping up to be a nice place to ride though.

It's firm with moderate leaf covering now so probably a bit of the slick side. I haven't taken the bike out yet this year but I hike it with the dogs almost every morning. We didn't get a hard ground freeze this winter but it hasn't gotten to the soft loamy condition it is in the summer. The only muddy spot is the creek crossing, everything else is elevated in respect to that so mud is never really an issue here.

I work next Sunday. but for anyone who's never ridden there, those are the most sandy/flowy legal woods you'll ever ride north of the pine barrens.
and I only say legal because they're hosting an event on private property. take advantage of it.

I'll be contained to my place for the short term. I need to get a hitch for the Dad Wagon and I don't see it happening before the 12th. I did clear it with the lady to have a bunch of savage motorcycle types over the weekend of 18/19 so y'all are welcome to come down for that.

He hasn't said one way or another yet, I just wanted to go ahead and make sure I was free. Either way, I'll be riding.

Rehoboth MA, about 15 minutes east of Providence.

Apparently I'm now in that phase of life where if I want to do things I have to write them on a calendar in advance. No worries if you can't make it, I'm due for a day turning wheels.

Fyi people. First impressions of the 404/403 were awesome. I don't have rocks. But they cleared mud well and the bike turned on rails. So far so good

Well, I didn't think I would be able to ride after work today. but the stars aligned, meeting got canceled, and I was able to bust out early. March 8th and I was sweatin balls at my track rippin laps in pretty decent conditions. Could be a record.

    Re: Bumpy tires again

Ok, season is officially under way. I have ridden 5 out of the last 7 days. I am getting calluses, bloody throttle thumb, and saddle hardened. Also, loving the bridgestones and my new FC front end. Bike is on rails AND very stable. Best bike I've ever had. Getting faster every day I go out, which is saying a lot about the setup. My track can really beat your confidence down if things aren't perfect with the bike.

Today's weather was especially perfect. The cool air allows me to lap longer, and work harder. Heart rate easily hits the rev limiter in two laps here if you aren't super fit and riding smooth. Track is dry except one spot.
