Cabin Fever Moto-Party Feeler (yes, it's started)

Already going stir crazy... Wondering what the dudes who've been able to make the Compound Party the last couple of years think would make it better/easier to justify.

Live music/BIG party sat night?
Bring your own food or pay to eat?
Local accommodations (not in a tent)?
Diff event(s)? Hill Climb / Big Air / Holeshot?
Elbow to Elbow racing?

And for the track... We hope to widen the entire track by a couple feet and have a few jumps be wide enough to hit side-by-side (some turns will loosen up as well). Other than usual risk with motoX, did anyone feel areas could be made SAFER? By safer I don't mean LESS TECHNICAL OR LESS CHALLENGING. Added a track map below for help referencing areas.

After dark fastest lap. OK, maybe not but it was kind of fun.

Less riding Saturday. By Sunday afternoon I couldn't move.

Am I helping yet? Sorry, not particularly helpful suggestions. I'm up for anything but I guess that goes without saying.

There were a couple jumps that seemed to put you right into a few saplings on a bend (not quite a corner)
That's all I remember.

The installation of a vag de-sander would be great for wusses like me.

Similar to Chip's comment regarding the vag de-sander

Make some of the gap jumps tabletops so that people like me might actually try to hit one. (I realize that would take a ton of material and part of the fun of your track is the technical nature of the jumps. I am just a Sally that doesn't like gap jumps just in case I wuss out and come up short.)

Other than that I am just thankful that you hosted this event and I was able to get up and spend some time with you guys/girls riding in the woods.

I think it was great this year IMO.

A band would be cool but hanging out with everyone was cool too.

Paying to eat was fine for me. I have no problem chipping in extra too because I know how much money and time you put into this not only to build it, but to maintain it. I'm super glad that you are willing to share your construction with us out of staters.

I think maybe having heats of 4 riders would be fun that have about the same skill level. Not too crowded, but would allow for a good time and some competition.

Hill climb would be a negative for me because I tend to break my bike on those every time.

I thought las year's event was perfect. I know it was a lot of work, but I appreciated the food provided. A LOT. It's great not to have to think about that stuff. I liked the time trial format last year, I'm not opposed to bar to bar racing, BUT I think in this mixed ability group we have, the laptimes were a better goal. And, could you go 3 10ths of a second slower this year Kitt???

Big air photo shoot sounds great, but maybe offer a little air shoot for the pussies?

Bar to bar only works if people are at or near the same ability level. That is not the case here. None of us are actual MXers, and that means we all suck at radically different levels! If Kitt is inviting some expert guys this year, then it's would be even less "competitive".

We could do bar to bar motos after qualifying time trials

In reality, the bar to bar stuff is just better suited for a less hectic weekend... don't get me wrong, I love a nice block pass - but worried about guys who aren't used to riding together trying to predict each other's aggressiveness.

I will for sure boot smutty over a berm this year, since he's asking nicely.
