Clearing A Path To The Lake...

Hopefully we get some rain up here and the snow'll turn mushy enough to clear a path down to the lake tomorrow. I've got about 50-60' and the elevation rises about 20' in that span...

I'm bound to get the Cat stuck plowin' the first coupla passes. Anyone wanna stop by with a winch to pull me out each time? Seriously. If I can talk someone into it, you'll have unlimited access to the two lakes here on your machine...

I wish I lived closer. It's not a vehicular adventure unless someone gets stuck. Or MotoFreak crashes...

~360hp AWD Evo on snowtires and a tow strap do the job? I can press the skinny pedal just fine... but if I get out of the Evo I'm liable to need the winch you mentioned to get me and the crutch out of the snowbank.

This is perfect! A coupla inches of rain on top of about 6" of ice. Plus we're looking at a coupla inches of snow in a coupla days after some bitterly cold weather. That snow should get nice & crusty-most. I'm STILL holding off on those 1000 ice screws. As long as the surface stays like that, I won't need 'em!

Tell me about it! Last weekend we had 16-18" of snow on the ground, and for the most part it is gone other than drift and plowed piles.

I'm still gonna put the screws in

Eh...instead of just plowing a path, I basically plowed half the backyard. I'm the reason we can't have grass back there!
