hate to say it but winter is coming
greg and I went out for a local loop around me, the top of all of the wet sections were frozen, traction was somewhat hard to come by in places , it was in the high 20ies when we headed out and only warmed up into the 30ies ,
I didn't get too many pics for the day , we were too busy riding,
The beaver dam was frozen over and we weren't sure how deep it was so we poked at it with some sticks to break up some of the ice
broke through the surface and moved a log out of the way so we could hug the shore line
I have come through here in years past and the water has been up to the front headlight , luck for us it was only a foot deep or so at its deep spot .

just shy of 30 miles for the day and we were pretty cold by the end , hope to get a few more in before the $#@w flies .
hope everyone else got out for a few today

130miles. Only 10 in the woods, but that was almost 2 hours worth of riding. A dry shirt/sox for the ride home makes chippy a happy dude.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
I got out on my property for a while today. Maybe 8 miles, getting good bearings on some of the property and starting to bead in some of the trails a little. Found an old car, think it's a model T, the shocks were still in nice shape and shiny, from a company in cambridge mass, wooden rims, two old carriage trailers, and some other stuff.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Today was not a good day for swimming.
low here was 24, and warmed up to a balmy 34 today..brrrrr

hosed the bike off when I got back , I couldn;t figure out at first why the mud wasn't coming off, because it was ice.

Wow! I had no idea that you even snapped any photo's, Sean! Thanks for showing me around your area! It was nice to actually ride on dirt, instead of the solid rock base I have around my place.
you guys need to stud up!
No studs necessary that day. Even now, car studs would be about all you could use, and, IMO, they do not help very much. I have a set of "Winter" tires, but they will have to wait until there is a good snow base on the ground.
Lake/Pond riders (w/screws) should be good to go very soon, though!
