Fuck you and the ice. No ice riding for me anymore. Waste of time. I got a snowmoble now and will be ice fishing and trying to scam rides while the ice riding is going on.

    I you Mark!

+1 for that. I gotta find a good place to pick up a plow for the ATV. I've got two lakes around the corner, which means at least three track layouts to work out.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Ah, fuck! I thought you were all set. There was a cheap plow ONLY on Craig's List a coupla weeks ago. No frame, just the plow. But cheap. Damn it!

I've seen cheap plows, but I need everything. Frame, mount and blade.

I know, you fuck! But the plow was shit-cheap. Woulda been a good start. Grab a cheap blade and work from there...

The best I've seen for the whole setup is around $400. Does that sound about right? 50" or upgrade it to bigger?

    Re: The countdown for ice!

$50 bucks will get you half as many screws as you need to make a decent set of tires.

You'll quickly get discouraged with 50". Angle that thing to full-tilt and you won't be clearing a path wide enough for your machine. You'll be getting hung up...

For brand new, you're probably looking at $300 or so, $400's on the high side. That's for newer machines though. I'm not sure what's available for yours...

I punch a hole through it and measure. I do that in known 'weak spots' so I know the rest of our lake is good...

and thx stoneman...I see guys fishing on quinsig during the winter...I might have to ask them when they're drilling it, to find out the thickness

edit: these fleabay guys look like they're just putting in regular sheet metal screws, riding the hell out of them, then posting them for sale on ebay, haha

I am going to bring my snowmobile and my sled to tow behind and set up a lunch cart in exchange for rides on other folks studded bikes.

KB, bring steamed hot dogs and I'll let you handle my wiener or ride my bike in exchange.

So after owning the ice screws for 8 years, I think I may actually install them this year.
