And that's one hell of a xmas gift to the both of you, congrtas

Back on topic, how are those hand/bar mittons as far as hand movements go? Can you wear a regualr riding glove with them and still keep your hands warm?
the only problem I found was on the wr not being able to actuate the turn signals or horn but thats a non issue off road .

I usually still wear a lined glove rather than just a thin mx glove, or I wear an MX glove with those silver glove liners . the biggest thing is that it keeps the wind off your hands .

if you buy the $20 grip heaters to go along with the mits you could proabbly get a way with just an mx glove.

Warm weekend though. Bummer - the ice in my cove is starting to get gray around the shoreline now too, about 8" in at that...

On another note: my Holiday Canadians should be at my door today...

Holy shit dude! Got home today to find 'em at my door. They look WAY better than the A-typical Gold screws. The head's over a 1/4" tall, the threads are nice & deep and spaced apart - almost like the threads on drywall screws, and a pretty fat washer on the head. Well worth it, WELL worth it...

The dude calls 'em Holiday Racing Screws, but the package says Super Trac Ice Racing Studs...

    Did you call him yet???

If my math is correct by using the recomended pattern, it'll take 548 studs per tire. looks like I'll need a box of 1,000 and a box of 250

New front tire is in the mail, pro rear is already on the rim, plow is mounted on the quad, just have to get the overheating issue squared away. We're making ice fast as fuck up here 'round here.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

    Re: The countdown for ice!

Had a lot to do around the house on this rainy day, but I chose to work on the quad for the upcoming ice

Hot grips, lowering link and hand guards installed. Once the dealer gets the next stock of Hippo Hands bar mittons, i'll be picking those up as well.

Hand guards off my YZ. I picked up a set for the YFZ yesterday but I didn't like the fit so i'm going to return them.

Hot grips, couldn't think of a good place to put the switch. The directions said wire them into the headlights? Good because at least if I forget to shut them off, it won't kill the battery. They do get nice and toasty

The Dura-Blue lowering link. This lowers the front end about 1". I don't care for the design of this, and it states no jumping in big letters on the package!

Once the screws are in, I'll get started on the screws and pattern. I'm gonna use the same fronts as last year as i thought they worked pretty good

Too funny. I've been doing the screws on my new Kutters. These new screws are just incredible. The head's a solid 1/8" taller than the old Gold Screws. I'm gonna be spreading these out a bit though this time around & being more careful about how I orient the v-groove in 'em. Did you call that dude?

Tell me more about the grips...

I never called the guy for the screws, I may see how the ones I have work for now. I have 800 new ProGolds still in the box from last year so figured those combined with the Kold kutters may be OK?

The grips I got from my local dealer. They are standard Moose ATV grips. Think I paid around $35 for them. They have a high, low and off setting. Just cut off the old grips, put some WD40 inside the new hot grip tube and slip them on. ( I would never use WD to install normal grips, the instructions said to and it worked amazing). They come with the switch and all the wires but you still have to make the connections. I put mine on the low beam headlight side figuring the high beam side may draw down the battery to much?
I figured the hot grips used with the Hippo Hands will allow me to use regular riding gloves and keep my hands from cramping up
The grips get hot in about 30 seconds.
