Got the CRF dirty today 3/11

Went out and tore up some technical nasty trails with Hessogood and Nazo today.

It was awesome and the CRF is a great woods bike. Holy power and stump pulling torque.

Next time guys we'll ride something a little more your style. Like maybe a field or something.

Got the CRF durty again today. Holy fuck this thing is a monster. Got brusied an battered. Ended up on my head a few times. Got a nasty gash/bruise on my shin. All in the name of fun.

How do the knee/shin guards fit with boots on? My boots go pretty high but obviosly not high enough.

KB... i got the same ones as Sean linked, but i think they are by Fox or 661 or something like that... they are awesome... even with boots... i hardly even know they are there... til i kick the footpeg with my shin or go knee first onto the ice. .. then i am glad i got em on!

They fit inside the boot I usually wear them under my pants otherwise the knee cup flops around. I lost track of how many times they have saved my knees, the elbo ones too.

we got ours at brockton cycles pretty cheap.
I am concidering a kidney belt too just to help keep stuff where its supposed to be. I wish I had on my padded riding shorts sunday I sat on my nuts on more than one occasion

Thanks Othersean I just ordered both of those. Pretty cheap and good protection. I can't afford to be out of work and those should help with some of the bumps and bruises!!

I have a 661 Flack jacket I wear under my jersey. It has a chest protector, elbow pads, shoulder padding and a hard spine protector all built into one jacket you throw on. I bought it after I cracked a rib on a rock Bought it off a mountain bike site online for about $100.00 (LOTS cheaper than most of the m/c sites I saw).

Brent, remember that wipe I took on the roots last Nov.? Well I still don't have feeling in the area where my knee hit ground. Without a doubt, nerve damage. The problem I have is I have big calfs and they wouldn't tuck into the boots very comfortably. Plus I would hate to lose range of motion. I am going to have to figure something out though because I can't sacrifice the protection.

They make knee pads only, I'm actually thinking about getting knee braces. Don't want to screw up a knee, only thing is I'm hearing they can cause some nasty leg breaks.

get some pads! and then trim em or something to fit over those tree trunks!
