Well, I thought that I was fairly clear that I don't think any one reading this thread is in the dustructive, ignorant quad-guy that the dirt bikers rant about. There certainly IS a huge us vs. them mentallity. It's kind of like the way streat bikers view car drivers. Most of them, most of the time, are just plain dangerous. And yes, off-roaders are more destructive then quad riders. The thing that is the worst about quads is that there are just so damn many of them. They make a big impact in the public eye that effects off-roaders and dirt bikers too. Jeeze, I didn't even bring this up, and I didn't start the thread, but the guy who DID was specifically NOT talking about quads. I wounder... do the guys on the quad-boards get all flustered about dirt-bikers too?
How is quoting a bunch of posative experiences that I have had with people riding quads serve as an example of an asinine (sic.) us vs. them mentallity. I kinda thought that it showed examples of how the pervailing mentallity might be wrong.
Any way, I have no further desire to talk about this, or get into any arguments with people on a street bike board about non-street bike stuff. It's nice that there is a dirt section here, but I'm really intrested in getting ready to ride this spring and sharing that with other people who like to ride.
