I honestly have no idea. I'd default to opinions like yours on such subjects.

I have no interest in installing a rekluse; too cheatie.

right, i don't mind cheating one bit... it's all about feel for me. too many mixed reports on Rekluse to determine. like my standard clutch as is... but shit a left hand brake would kick ass in the right situations

I rode Jc's old bike with the recluse and lhrb. That setup is tits, cheating or not. It's intuitive in seconds. And with a 300, you don't need to feather the clutch anyway. Click a downshift (if necessary) and gas it. The motor does the rest.
With a littler bike, I coud see how the recluse would take some of the feel away, but just click 2 downshifts.

Re: What have you done to your dirt bike today?

I have never ridden a lhrb without the rekluse. When I bought my bike I wasn't sure that it was going to get the auto clutch. It only took one ride without the lhrb to realize how bad I was missing it. It is a huge help with my riding, and something i use constantly. In fact I basically use it like a clutch, dragging it through turns and regulating wheel spin with it. With the over under/lever setup I have using the lhrb without the rekluse wouldn't be practical. Maybe with that trick clake setup it would work, or possibly a thumb brake. I will say with my limited use of the new style rekluse, I much prefer the Zstart to the 3.0exp, if you have that option.

I have been seriously contemplating a Rekluse 3.0 for my 350 EXC. It just kills me to spend $900 on a clutch... Old guy problems....

Pretty much a solid thumbs up to the bike; replaced the wheel bearings both ends already, replaced a footpeg, and bought/installed studded tires. Might get a different bend handlebar, definitely grips and cycla bark busters...

Suspension seems well sprung for me and well balanced. Like it!
Jetting might have a slight hesitation down low in this temperature (20F) but it pulls well for a 125 as long as you don't ask it to do it for 10 seconds straight

Does it have the stock flywheel, if you know?

I had a faster-than-me friend who weighs a little less than me try it, and it worked well for him too. Thanks, I'm really happy with it! As the pilot, I'm shaking off 10 years of off-road rust so all problems are me, not the bike, but it's coming back! Expected to have fun today, but it was even more fun than expected...can't wait to go again.

Re: What have you done to your dirt bike today?

I rode about 5 different bikes pretty hard on the ice today.

By far the most fun was a 450 flattracker with canadien screws in a sand style rear tire. This was RIDICULOUS fun through and out of all corners, clean ice, or snowy and rutted. No matter, just screw the throttle and hang on. My NEXT rear tire will be similar, but I just bought a Kenda canadien that I will use up first.

Kutz/stephanie's bike was fun as well. Low, and brute like. I could get down to some serious lean angles with a little practice on that beast.

Jeffs KTM 300 is a monster, but a little tall for me to feel comfy really backing it in hard.

Jake's 125 would be the perfect bike with a lowering link in the rear, and one of those sand tires.

Ken's KLX does way better than it should out there, but suffers a severe lack of acceleration.

Canadian screws seem like the ones to have.

I had a helluva lot of fun ripping Rolands' CRF today. Can't thank him enough for letting me take 'er out.

It's one of those things. You don't know how good it is until it's gone. Don't forget about the lhrb to go with it. I'd go with a zstart if that's an option.

Re: What have you done to your dirt bike today?

Spark knock. I finally traced it to the needle being too lean. I've been incrementally making it better since last winter. The combination of heavy ice tires and the cold have made it a problem since I starting riding the ice with this bike. First I found a slightly leaky main seal. Then a leaking intake gasket. I cleaned up the main jetting and the pilot but still had the problem.

The needle was the last man standing.... Today though I could concentrate on where my throttle position was when it occurred and when it went away.

Now I just need to get some top end power out of the old girl. Really runs flat on top.
