What can I do if I buy a a dirt bike that is not stolen but the title is lost? Is it worth the headache?

If you do not intend to register the bike for street use, don't worry about it. If, however, you are insistent on having the title, you can get an MSO from the manufacturer. You could also try calling the dealer that originally sold the bike to see if they still have the MSO.
