That post was in no way a knock on a 250f, nor an endorsement for a small bore smoker.

Ok. Let's cut to the chase. 2 strokes are more fun to ride.

It's all about fun anyways right??

what about the OG moose rear fender packs found on kdx's?

they have 4 bolts going through the fender with 1"-ish washers

my toolkit is the heaviest part of my backpack...was hoping to move it to the rear fender to get it off the body

    Re: New dirt rider advice

I have an old four bolt fender bag and want to say it's a Moose Racing. I don't think it's going anywhere unless I obliterate the rear fender. Feels surprisingly solid. Two slight catches: If I pack it tall, it'll bop me in the ass if I buck the rear up in the air, or on some steeper downhills. And it will make it harder to abandon ship off the back but I'm not usually one to get myself in to those situations. I could see it being a problem for the more adventurous.

A note of caution to all you 2 smoke for newbie advocates. This simply would not happen on a 250F... LOL

The power is too flat to induce whiskey throttle like that.

    Re: New dirt rider advice

I had that exact thing happen on my KTM 125. If you get headshake in the braking bumps, and are close to being on the pipe, there is no way to stop the whiskey throttle. It's hard to even let go of the bike. In my case I did a huge superman and landed on the seat, feet off the pegs on a 60 footer. Owwww! That guy got it worse though.

After enough of those types of incidents I got a 250F. Never happened again.

I've had whiskey throttle like that on a DRZ400. (As much shit as I give Isaac, I wound up in a tree!) Everyone knows those are sackless.

Hahaa. Ok i guess you CAN whiskey throttle a 250f. But not like that video. It just runs out of breath. The 2 stokes just go faster and faster. Lol
