Chris showed me that new hill you guys were doing out back by the dike, that was a treat in the wet, hahaa. actually, the whole loop was slippery as fuck. super frustrating but overall a great ride.
the rangers are making a bunch of new red/white marked trails (difficult), one of them looks like it's going to connect the section where i think you smacked your tailbone up and over to the top of the previous mentioned new climb. hard to describe but i hope they build out that section. they started to years ago but let it grow back in.
we also found another new hill that connects lower to upper on the right-hand side of the road. Chris tried it twice, no love. i bailed.
both bikes made it out OK but i almost lost a chain and rear disc. got weged so hard between rock i couldn't move the bike any way but UP. fuck i was TOAST after that. ZERO BRAINS.

My clutch is starting to slip and I worry my top end is on borrowed time. But I feel like riding the thing anyway.
That could be something a simple as adjusting the lever preload and/or flushing the slave/master.

Could be. I also figure the clutch has a bazillion hours on it and probably needs to be pulled and inspected.
Really I'm behind in maint. Intended to do it this spring, but poop happened. This, kids, is the downside to owning 49382 motorcycles!

Dont be worried about that. Im not exactly a skilled dirt rider either. We usually wait at the next junction anyways.
Wish I could join y'all, and I WILL one of these days for some woods riding, but I have dobro gigs with two different bands Saturday and Sunday...and in between going to fit in open dirtbike practice at Southwick mx338 on Sunday morning. Should be an interesting 3pm Sunday gig with arm pump and sand in my teeth (LOL)
I heard that some pros were practicing yesterday at the track for the upcoming national.
Edit: I guess while I'm at it, I should give my annual psa for the Southwick national. Coming up quick, Saturday July 8. If you ride motorcycles and you've never been to an outdoor mx national, you oughta be ashamed of yourself! It's pretty amazing, even after going to dozens you still see some draw dropping stuff
