I'm out of state. Again...
I'll be at Southwick Nationals though!

I did some fun riding in CT yesterday. First real woods foray on my FC forks. They worked great! I removed 5 clicks of comp damping from my track setup. They soaked up everything without any drama. rooty corners, logs, , etc. with no deflection or white knuckle moments. It was surprisingly not rocky, but so far I think I have the holy grail of forks that work for MX and woods. All from the much maligned 4CS KTM forks.

I went through a period of adjustment with the clickers when I got my WR, and it's been pretty static while I thought about what the final piece of the puzzle is that's missing. I didn't know what they were all currently set at and wanted to see how far I've deviated. They're all just about the stock setting, which I'm pretty sure I found my way to through my own trial-and-error. It's almost like the factory test riders knew what they were talking about.
Except one: The front rebound is almost all the way out (3 clicks of 20) - speeding up the rebound. So is that too soft a front stacking up and I needed to speed it up? I'm gonna try turning it back in next time I ride it and see where that takes me. Factory is like 9 or 10 - somewhere in the middle.

Steering is part of the problem right now. On moto track, it felt like I needed to ride the brake or lean forward to keep the front end settled on tipping it for a turn otherwise it wanted to stand up. In the woods the front tips in and then want to keep tipping in /tightening almost like there's no bite or surface feel in the bars. Confusing because those two seem to contradict each other. I'm guessing in the woods, the front is rebounding fast enough to push? Get on the gas quicker?
In other news, got a great deal on an oversized rotor kit and now I can one-finger brake for most situations.

I don't understand why we aren't to the point where these clickers are adjustable without tools. Ideally while still wearing gloves.
The 4CS forks have knobs on top that look like what MTB forks use. And I've seen some shocks that are at least partially adjustable by reaching under your leg while you're still seated.
I want to know why there's no metal hat I can superglue to the rebound clicker on the top of most forks similar to the preload hand knobs sold.

Yeah, I can make a click here and there on the 4cs. I'd rather get to a point where I don't have to touch them though, other than having a woods setting and a whoops setting.

All my stuff requires a flat blade that could killaman if you ride with it. Somewhat annoying.
Must mean its time for me to upgrade.. everything.

NETRA rules say a max of 96db, or whatever the local state requirement is. (whichever is less)
