The headphones suck because speakers have magnets in them. Believe most are just tubes that run to some external source, though I thought they are starting to use ones with electro-static speakers. The ones that are just a flat panel, no cone.

^ that's right, now i remember ... the tubes made the news reports even more ominous, it was like i was being fed info from the outside world 10,000ft above.

I have to report 7:10 AM this saturday to the tube (old style MRI) because my left leg is going numb just like it did when I needed surgery last time. Not looking forward to it. Never felt claustrophobic sensations until the last MRI...they offered me Valium this time but I dont like pills either so Im probably just gonna keep my eyes shut i guess (LOL)
You should try Valium Beek, it's good stuff with very little side effect. I regularly take it's cousin Ativan and it's like a miracle drug for me. I sleep like a baby with great dreams on that stuff. I've always found MRIs to be kind of relaxing though, even the old enclosed style.
To each his own, but personally, I've tried enough things to fairly religiously adhere to 1 basic rule: If it doesn't occur in nature, I will take it only in very exceptional circumstances.
I don't even like taking aspirin. antibiotics have caused me full body rashes, "harmless" naproxen swells one of my eyes almost shut, and I'm running out of fingers to count the dudes who are dead who I knew before they "needed" something pharmaceutical that led to something else, etc etc.
My rule allows plenty of room for recreational hijinx, though LOL
I've never touched alcohol, tobacco, or marijuana, but I'd be pretty miserable without some of my prescriptions. I've had some odd-ball bad reactions to stuff that is normally "harmless" though, so I know where you are coming from. Hopefully you won't need surgery. That's never fun.

HVD in the rain today was a very good time. for some reason it's kinda magical for me. nostalgia?
Beta 200RR
Noble woods turkey run was a good time. 94 miles. A little rain. A little sun. I hit a tree. Hard. Need to asses the damage but its not bad. I rode it the rest of the way.
hahaamotocross in the pouring rain sucks ass but i actually enjoy woods riding in the rain like that. speeds are mellow, trees provide nice coverage, good slippery terrain practice. i had pretty good traction most of the day EXCEPT near The Boulder and up the trail just after it. dumb mistakes. i hate that fucking boulder and the gully below it, Chris rocks that shit. jerkoff.
surprised how comfortable my gear was being that wet... except the Soup Shoes... not wearing goggles helped a lot... def recommend those 100% gloves! things ruled. thin + grippy.

I like the skills practice angle of wet trails, but overall don't enjoy it. Just feels like a handicap. Plus I get pretty frustrated once the goggles become a smear of water.
Crashed last weekend and strained the tendon that attaches my deltoid to my arm. I was kinda happy to see the rain so I wouldn't feel like I was missing out on much. I'm basically useless. Even bending over uses that tendon/muscle to hold the arm in place. Anyone have experience with something like that? Just got it checked out after a week and doctor wants me to wear a sling round the clock. Wore the sling yesterday but I doubt I can sleep in it, and I wasn't sure it helped that much.
You've done other TR's right? How'd it compare? I haven't done that one.

Ive done the classic at loudon twice. Once north once south. I think this was a new route for them this year. They used a lot of snowmobile and atv trails. A few dirt roads and C6s but not as much as ive done previously. Not a lot of pavement either. I guess they found a land owner with like big acreage (a couple hundred) that was happy they came. He said to use whatever they needed. Hes sick of the snowmobilers leaving trash on his land. Hopefully they can really build a relationship with him. The route through his land was fun.
Mudslinger enduro in the berkshires this Sunday. Since it’s his clubs event, there’s a pretty good chance we’ll see nesrs own Bob Poetsch out there working a check. I hope, anyways.
The BTR races have been amongst my favorites.

OK so I had my appointment with the Ortho last week, he pushed me to the shoulder specialist who I saw this morning. He doesn't think I have a labrum tear, instead he's saying I have an injury to the long head biceps tendon. It's tough to find on an MRI because it's buried. He's going to treat with a cortisone shot first, if it stays in good shape after a cortisone treatment then the problem is chronic inflammation. If the pain returns then it's a tear. If it is a tear they'll cut it lose from inside the shoulder and reattach it outside the shoulder.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
so i guess you're riding Wrentham with us on Sun?![]()
