    Double track!

    Today was the first time in like 3 years that BOTH tracks at my spot were mint and rideable at the same time. They link together for a pretty big lap. In this heat I was doing 2 lap sessions! It's fun and requires a lot of mental focus. 50 percent sugar sand, 50 percent hardpack. When your pushing it you have to be able to adjust mighty quickly. The sand was so silky and dry today it was easy to get all outta shape in the whoops. I'm mentally spent!

    Well, yeah, there's an upper track (sand) and lower track (loam). The lower track is on the flood plain and doesn't drain well, so it hasn't been ride-able for years. There have been so many storms that the dead tree fall had completely blocked it. Someone spent days with a chainsaw clearing it this spring, and it's been so dry that it's in perfect shape.

    It still could be lots better as the track could stand to be maintained with a bobcat or dozer as the jumps and stuff are worn out from years of abuse. I'm not complaining though...
