Ever try to bump start these new generation 4 strokes? It aint easy i tell ya![]()
I left the key on for 2 days (shame on me for leaving it in the thing, rite? ) and there wasn't even enough juice left to make a click. Maybe i'll have to fgure for that kick start kit that yamaha sells![]()

go bump half squids 426 then go try bumping the couch, youll see them new gen. 4smokes are much easier then -previous- gens anyways![]()
Odd that the race quad has an E-start, damn, some good weight savings there already mang, do it up.
That YZ450F kicks over almost too easily.
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill
I have had no trouble what so ever starting the 426. Ussually kicks in the second try. Then again I have only done it 4 times!![]()

Hmmm, yet another dead battery tonite?an i even took the key out!!
I know i wouldn't have any trouble kick starting it, IF it had a kickstarterEven at 150lbs, i never had a problem kick starting the 426, the trick is to know how to start that bike.
Bump starting the 450, i looked like a moron bouncing up and down on the seat while dragging the rear tires down a hill in 3rd gear![]()

re: 426: Naw, that thing always fired on the first or second kick..it was awesome, but required a bit of know how to figure out how to bumpstart it
re: Bumping the YFZ: Try 2nd...3rd doesent work well for me eitherI told you to buy a kickstarter man, not that it has one
re: YZ450: Yeah, if I havent pissed it off, that thing is started in <30 degrees of kick.
