    Question It was falling apart

I gave the KTM a good cleaning today after last weekends Pachaug adventure and got a chance to inspect all the scares I gave the bike Nice big dent in the headpipe from a rock, no plans to fix that at this time..
The front axle nut took a beating and will need to be replaced, as it is now I'm sure I'll have to use vise grips to take it off..
Barkbuster brush guards are bent and scraped up...

I had also noticed a few times while riding last weekend that the kickstarter felt like it was skipping more than normal (it's had this odd skip sence the day it was new), well the bolt holding the kickstarter on was backed half way out
I also noticed the bolt holding the kickstand was almost backed out as well.
I guess I need to take the bike apart and locktite everything

I also installed a US forest aproved sparky and a quiet core today in the stock pipe. It now has a sparky but I'm not sure it's much quieter? It's advertised as making the bike at or below 96db.
    That's all for now

Sounds like your bike is taking a beating, you should see mine. It looks like its been thrown off a cliff, dragged down the road, buried in mud, and pretty much it has.
All my plastic is destroyed, hand guards are hammered, head pipe has dent. I've got shiny new radiator guards though, but that because I destroyed the other ones, along with a radiator. Millions of trees in the woods, sooner or later you'll meet one. Lets not forget I'm on my second clutch case cover, its got JB Weld sealing a crack, that reminds me I also need a rear brake lever too. I think it needs just about everything, might be cheaper to buy a new one.

I think they're coming, Husqvarna has them. KTM is rumored to have street legal 07's, I have also heard the 06's don't have clean C/O's. I'm sure Japan will be following the trend, Australia(sp?) already has CRF250X's ready for the street. Yamaha's WR's are ready for a extreme makeover, wouldn't that be nice to see them street legal next season.

Mark all you need it to "rig" up the lights and shit I'm talking get a tail light and a headlight, bungee a battery to the seat, run the lights off of it with a switch, install the brake switch. Squeaky horn and a 12 dolla mirra' and you can get that shit hooked up in NH.

Wire it up sell it to me on paper, I send it in for the title, wait 3 weeks for it to come back, I sell it to you, you have title, you register it in RI.

The CRFX's are already ready for the road in NH minus the brake light, horn, and mirror.

Yup... same thing on my 520... the only thing less fun than push-starting a 520 is push starting a 520 and then back-tracking for 45 minutes at 5 mph looking for your kickstarter. I now bathe the whole thing in blue loc-tite... bolt threads, kickstarter splines, everything.

Think of the poor lonely two-wheeled dirty toy in the garage at night, getting picked on by all the shiny bullies. It's gonna need a buddy.
