    Gear questions

Brockton Cycles usually has good deals on dirt gear.

You'll want a good pair of riding boots.

A pair of MX sox to use with the riding boots

A good quality helmet, HJC is the shizzle for off road. Make sure it has a removable liner, it doesn't take long for them to get stinky and being able to unstap the liner and toss it in the wash is a good thing.

Goggles with clear and tinted lense

    A good jersey with padding

Riding pants with padding and stretchy parts where things need to stretch

Chest protector, get one with some padding

Riding gloves, a warm weather and a cold weather pair.

I don't have them but if i rode a dirtbike i would, knee and elbow pads.

I ruined so many cloths before i got all my riding gear, i'm always amazed at how the jersey and pants can be black from mud and water and they always come clean. The gear will pay for itself in saved cloths alone, not to mention the crashing you're gonna be doing

I picked up an HJC AC-X2 helmet for $135 shipped on ebay. Sweet helmet.
I also got good deal on TLD gloves, Answer shirt and pant, and Scott goggles from Brockton...they are good (Rockymountainatv is good too...and for parts).
I think my GF bought either Alpinestar Tech 8's or 6's (boots) for me for x-mas. They are the best. Oxtar pro model are also good, as are the Sidi's (from what I hear). alpinestars feel real good and provide good protection.
Haven't purchased a kidney belt or chest protector but I plan on getting good quality stuff.

    Rye, G-man,

Don't forget knee and elbow pads. Quick Straps for your goggles are good to have too.
I got most of my gear at Brockton too. Kevin's Cycles on RT 123 in Norton also has a MX/enduro gear, at good prices. I went with Fox Forma Pro boots, can't go wrong for $170.
Also been working on cutting some trails behind my buddy's house, now we gotta break them in.

A good amount, but that also gets to some pits. And a couple short sections of road we can get to the power lines. State forests are close by too, but closed for riding till the spring.
