So I don't know too much of the cause and effect of gearing ratios which is why I ask this question.
I ordered a chain and sprocket for the drz not realizing until I have the old stuff off, the new stuff out of the package that I ordered the stock gearing for the drz E not the S model which is the one I have.
the difference is
the s model has a 15 tooth front sprocket and a 44 tooth rear
the E has a 14 front 47 rear.
so I have dropped 1 on the front and added 3 to the rear.
so have I basically just created a wheelie machine with more revs in the low range and with less of a top end.
is first gear now shorter and second gear more useable?
thanks
