I don't think anyone tracked it, no... If I had my phone I woulda done an All Trails map or something. But the four of us rode together for the first loop, sticking to the beginner stuff down around Stumpy Pond and back up in a counter-clockwise loop.

After that, Paul & Anthony went off to see some of the more difficult stuff in the North West portion (again, never going further South of Stumpy Pond) while Sylwia and I continuously looped the three little North Eastern loops right at the parking area to build her confidence.

Hopefully next time we'll be able to venture further & poke around a bit in the Southern half.

Anthony definitely knows the place well and hits it up often. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys have crossed paths once or twice since the two of you seem to ride there a lot.

What time Friday do you think? Gonna play hooky from work or head there later in the afternoon?

cool, that sounds like a good first sampling, especially with Sylwia building confidence. if you didn't hop on the paved quarry road further out then back into dirt, there are more easy trails out near the quarry to the dike so that would also be fun for her.

what's Anthony ride? right, wouldn't be surprised if we recognize eachothers vehicles, i've been riding there since '06 (which is nuts).

i'm off on Friday so if i don't have any kid shit to do, i'll prob head down in the morning for like 10'ish. will post up if that becomes a plan. temps look glorious.

He's on a 4 stroke KTM... drives a big new tan long wheelbase Sprinter van. Looks kinda like this guy.

Don't think I can get there on Friday before mid/late afternoon, unfortunately. Have fun!

I'm gonna have to plate the Chinese 250 and try this place out. It's not too far from me. I've been looking for a more populated place to ride. My normal place is absolutely dead and that worries me if I have an accident since I'm usually solo.

I used to take my Jeep to F&F frequently when I was still into that. There's some really gnarly trails there, haven't done it on 2 wheels though.

Not sure what I'll be riding.. my wWR250f, or one of my buddies bikes ( xr650r XR 400 or one of his others in his stable)
Should be fun...... either way. The WR has a top speed of 50? Feels like I"m wringing its neck when I'm slabbing it

Think we're undecided... IF we go it'll be around 3 but we'll prob mostly stick to the easy stuff that we know. we'll keep an eye out for you guys.

EDIT: Syl is out.... I'm a maybe.

You won't need much in the way of top speed there. I'm sure Bob and Liza (owners) have added more dirt bike friendly trails since I was last there, most of the existing trails were hard rock crawling trails though. Should be a hoot on a bike. Also, it's a pretty sweet place to camp. Head 10 minutes up the road to Hancock after you finish riding for the day, they have a nice town beach/swimming hole on Norway Pond.

I just told Paul, IF I can join you, I prob won't roll in till about 3 or so (prob closer to 3:30-4), so I'll probably miss you guys before you start. So I'll just keep looping the easy stuff that I know by the parking lot & can meet up with you guys if you loop back to it.

I'll message Paul with my plans so you won't waste time circling back if you don't have to.

Re: Hodges Village Dam, Oxford, MA

Thanks for taking us around a bit, dude! Was good to explore the place some more, despite the trail's best efforts to kill me

I hesitate to set it as a goal with everything else on my plate, but I'd really get back there at least a couple of times per month so I can continue to improve. And Syl is still chugging along on her XT, so hopefully she'll get out there often and progress quickly as well.

The way I see it right now, this is probably gonna end up becoming my favorite gym that's just 20 minutes away with no membership fees.

That random Harley guy thing was a riot. He ended up riding back to Worcester with me and practically followed me all the way home. He was like a chill little stoned puppy.
Def a little weird, but seemed really nice. Wonder if we'll bump into him again some day.

My buddy Anthony said he's absolutely seen your van there before & will keep an eye out for ya. He'd totally be down for a group ride some day so we'll def have to organize something.
