    HVD access points?

Anyone know of any places to get on the trails at HVD other than the multi use area off Clara Barton road? I'm looking to go try some of the easier stuff this afternoon.

yes, enter off Old Howarth Rd over by the dike. it's at the other end of the railroad bed from the ORV parking. there is a fun loop behind the dike that's basically a big oval.

make a left when you see the dirt road along the dike, follow until you see a trailhead to your right almost all the way down. follow that straight all the way, it turns left and goes back to where you entered.

EDIT: looked at the map, it's more than half-way. here are the coordinates 42°07'15.4"N 71°53'13.8"W

btw, if you can't get through the gate there, just head to the other end of the dike (western side), there is another gate. dont go straight on that trail though, gets rocky.

Cool, I actually exited there the other day. Almost felt guilty coming off trails and getting on the road, guess its one of the benefits of a plated dirtbike, pause on the grass, flip my mirror up, and I'm back on the road.

yeah, no kidding. really would like to plate my WR someday.

the rangers used to say you could park and unload there but not sure if that's the case anymore. FYI for anyone without a plate.

Last year I asked Tim(ranger) about that, he said as long as you don't ride the bike you can push it over that little bridge to the trails. I had asked as there are trails that lead from my grandparents' driveway right to that area where we were all parked for the Jack Frost Run.
