    OH there sure is a trick. I had it down pretty good unless it was HOT. warm or cold it was a two kick. BUT hot some times it was a bitch.

    Hmmm, wonder if the hot start knob was working correctly?

    I'd pull in the decomp lever, put my right hand on the front brake master rather than the twist grip, kick it over 4-5 times, then find the top dead center thing, pull the hot start knob and give it a good swift kick (still holding onto the brake master with my right hand). It would always fire up.
    I've found the 450 with the auto decomp like a little twist of the throttle to start
