Okay, this makes NO sense. A buddy & I checked on the track last night. One area has about 2-3" of standing water on it. How could this be? Temp's haven't gotten above 15 degrees all week and night time temps've been at or below 0, with one night down to about -15...
I can understand all the slush STILL under all that snow all around the lake (and other lakes), but this defies all logic. Any other part of the track we shoveled or plowed to expose the slush has frozen solid. That particular part we did some plowing on too, but it's just not freezing...
The only things I can think of is that maybe some dickheads are still drilling holes in that area, or maybe the weight of the snowbanks from the plowing is somehow putting pressure in that area, somehow allowing water to seep up onto the surface. I just dunno...
