The track isn't in all that bad shape. We managed to get out there Friday to plow off the fresh stuff. The big sweeper was starting to freeze up finally, but the spot where the those dipshits were drilling to fish was still seeping a little water. However, with the white shit moving in over the next coupla days, it may end up buried again. They're saying anything between 10-20" widespread. With the snowbanks around the track as high as they are now, I'll never be able to get the new stuff over 'em to get it off the track. I'm HOPING the sleds stay off that area until I can get a chance to try to get the snowblower down to it to clean it up...
The ice was so sketchy this weekend, it was few & far between seeing any activity out there. On a typical January weekend, it's like a highway out there. This weekend we saw MAYBE 10 sleds total. Even on Winni, the only real activity was just in Alton Bay. And those dudes are fookin' nuts! Some of 'em had their bobhouses & trucks only about 30' from wide-fuckin-open water...
