Rider skill level. I now have two dirt bikes that are exceptionally over powered. I'd really like to get it to come on sooner and more progressively, but I suppose I could just learn to ride it as is.
You should have ridden it before. It's noticeably stronger now.
My main issue with 250 2 stroke dirtbikes is that they hit way too hard right off the bottom. As spectacular as it looks, it's not fun coming out of a rutted corner leaned over, in a wheelie, legs dangling behind and eyes as big as pancakes.
Bullshit... :D
The nice thing with a 2 Banger is you can tune the power delivery. Porting and pipe changes can move the power delivery.
You can also effect the delivery too. One of the cheapest and easiest ways to slow it up a little is to add a flywheel weight.
Your current motor does not have the snort off the bottom that my old 94 did. That does make it a bit tougher to get off the corner.
Just keep it boiling more and use the clutch. A lot.
Fatten the air screw setting for more bottom.
mmm, fat bottom :lap:
If only they could float.
Ok maybe not really floating but along those lines anyhow........ DC SHOES: ROBBIE MADDISON'S "PIPE DREAM" - YouTube
The only thing I could think of when watching that is what the salt would do to those bikes. Although I have recently come to acquire a paddle tire...
Sledgehammer to the dick is why I love 'em 2 smokers
I also enjoy how sensitive they are to tuning...carb...pipe...powervalve...all relatively simple things you can do at home too

Thank you for reminding me to buy more 2-stroke oil.
Exactly!
