Yeah, wheelssssss. I need to get a spare set.
I can walk on the pond ice today, ice tires go on next week. Starting to get excited.
I almost ordered ice tires today. Almost.
Dooo iiiit! Ice is just about ready. You don't get a lot of days, so get em now.
Maybe after Thursday. Kids are expensive this time of year.
Hahaa, Ice tires ain't cheap either. I like to think of them as adding a whole new bike to the stable. THat way, they seem...affordable.
If you go Canadian, the exchange rate is 3/4 right now. $.75 per Canadian dollar. Makes them seem a bit cheaper at $450 vs $610.
2 more days of 20 degrees and we're good to go. Hoping the 40 degree days coming up don't kill progress.
Pic from this am.

Looks like a good stretch of riding weather is here. cold nights and not too frigid days. Ice is ready and pretty glassy
Ice tires mounted up on the rmz now, getting giddy.
Paul - your travels ever bring you near Weymouth?
Where's that at? lol
It just hit me that the WR has ice tires on it, but doesn't have a sticker yet.
Must fix. Soon.
Figured it was China to you, make a day trip. We'll get a few guys together for the ice and fire the smoker up.

You're living the dream.
Gotta love those No-Plow® tires. Four inches of wet snow this morning.

that is the way to go with any vehicle, car, truck, atv, street bike, dirt bike, if you are changing seasonally or for different types of riding, whether if be a spare set of steelies with snow tires for a car, or an enduro, you may want 3 sets of wheels, one for street, another for dirt, another for ice, I have 2 sets of wheels for my SV that has been pieces inboxes for 10 years, my now, UTV, I am now looking to have 3 sets, I have 2, a set for street tires, a set for summer off road, and my set with chains , I have 1˝ set for my V-strom, looking for a spare front wheel to mount a studded knobby, I all ready have a spare for the rear with a winter car tire mounted, my first studded knobby (Metzeler Karoo MCE) lasted 4 winter seasons, nearly 10k total (still passes inspection depths easily, but not adequate for it's purpose anymore, so I paid to have it mounted 4 times, probably spent more mounting extra times it than I did buying and studding it , easily enuf to pay for a spare wheel if I get it for the right price, for some reason front Vstrom 1000 wheels are more rare than the rear, it shares the rear wheel with the 650, but not the front so it would take 5 years at best of of changes for savings. On e-gay, buy it now prices are ridiculous (9-10 years of remounts)and I'm not good at sniping
Ice was surprisingly good yesterday. Now it's getting resurfaced. Nature's zamboni.
Very strange weather this year has produced a bunch of good days before New Year's. Yesterday was another. The snow is going to mess things up for a while.
Waiting for delivery on a new set of tusk rims to mount these on.
