    I'm out for a while

Well I was ridding by the merrimack river last night and had a pretty good get off. My shoulder was first to hit the ground a drove right in.
I waited a few hours and the pain didnt lesson. Drove to the er and what do ya know I separated my clavicle, sprained my rotator cuff, and fractured my shoulder. Got an apt on weds to find out if I have to get pins put in...bummer.
I must say that digging a bike out if a mud hole and pushing it back to the truck with one arm is a sucky experience!!!!!

Ouch...sounds painful. What was the cause, if you don't mind me asking (road conditions, unfamiliar area)?

Regardless, rest up, Evel Knievel. Good luck with the healing, plenty of riding season left, so don't rush the rehab.

Re: I'm out for a while

That sounds familiar, I landed on my shoulder memorial day

    http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...haug-ride.html

I didn;t go get checked out how ever, I have been on the mend since and have not ridden the dirt bike , I am at about 95% now . I just got out ont he street biek a couple weeks ago I plan to dirt ride the july 4th weekend .

The only thing I can say is as hard as it is to do , stay off the bike for atleast a month or more , I had a get off a couple years ago where I cracked a few ribs and I rushed it to get back on the bike for no good reason and it ended up taking twice as long to heal .

Re: I'm out for a while

I was indeed by myself. It was an area that I had been in my jeep but never on a bike. I was comming into a watery rut and the bike caught and tossed me high side. I am more bummed that I cant ride the street bike for a while.
We will see what the doc says this week.

Re: I'm out for a while

I was at a local track my near my house

Been riding the track for 25 minutes hard and became very exhausted. Did one more lap and missed a turn completely, went over the lip of it sitting down which threw my striaght up in the air and landed on my neck then back

I laid there for 5 minutes becuase I couldnt move then finally started to get feeling back in my body.

As I stand up I noticed wow, I landed 5 ft away from the railroad track....... then a passing train fly's right on by

Ill be dead before Im 30

I ride there sometimes. It's fucked up how dead the river is down there from all the sewage they spew out of manchester.

Re: I'm out for a while

    been there done that too.
happened to me years back on the weekend of the 4th of july. Couldn't resist going up to party in ME anyways. Went to the dr's when I got back a few days later and they admitted me for surgery immediately (and they called me a moron but...)

Got back from the doc today and it looks like I will be in a sling for 6 weeks but it doesnt look as though I need surgery.
