Oh, right, you've got a 200... yeah... gross.

That's the check plug, behind/near the rear brake lever. One of the two drains should be underneath it.
No idea what the size is. Sometime when the bike is nearby I can maybe check if it means that much to you.
The hardware on that bike will strip if you look at it funny.

Oh that's right, I do have the KTM manual. I forgot that I did. Thanks magic internet donor!

Internet donor thought that request seemed oddly familiar.

Don't use it. Will strip.

It's cause the fill check hole plug is fucking JB welded in. And the bottom drain plug is fully encased in black RTV.
I'm not happy right now.

I feel this is a great time to point out my KDX has none of these issues. :kix:
edit- did not see above post. That's awful.

My strong instinct is to fix it.
Not band-aid it, not patch it, not jury-rig it, not kludge it, not wing it. DO IT FUCKING RIGHT LIKE IT SHOULD OF BEEN DONE THE FIRST TIME.
Shit like this makes my blood boil.

You'll need a "clutch cover, complete" or some such. Cost is north of $100. Ask me how I know.
Be really careful installing. I think all the bolts have torque specs. Exceed by 0.0000004 lbsft and you'll know! Again, ask me how.
Option 2 is to leave it the fuck alone, drain from the stator side and refill with the proscribed amount spec'ed in the shop owners manual. Then ride the everlovingpiss out of it.

I would much prefer to "do it right", but I can't find any used examples on Ebay currently that would allow me to fix it proper.
Time to look up how much oil this thing takes. Hopefully my countershaft seal leak fix worked so I won't have to drain/refill every ride.

Looks like .7L.
EZ-out? No way.
Then I'll have removed the bolt that is JB Welded in from what I'm sure is a stripped case.
Might just put aside my "make-right-itis" and drain/refill with .7l and see how it goes.

If it has a bigger Rekluse cover, it needs more oil than the KTM spec

Now your learnin'.
(Although slightly hypocritical. I made mine "right" last winter. And sure did pay for it.)
I think I should get off my ass and at least order a top end. Want to pull the clutch plates and check first. Spring maint season is almost here!

It's got the KTM cover with a Rekluse tucked inside. Apparently some of them don't require a special cover?
Bubs, before you order any clutch parts, let me know. I've got a brand new stock clutch worth of parts sitting in boxes unused. I think PO somewhere down the line went to do a new clutch, bought all the parts, then bought a Rekluse instead.

Yeah, you should be all set then with the recommended amount...at least I'm not aware of any change due to volume of aftermarket components inside a stock cover...Rekluse faq might cover that. I have the most expensive Rekluse made at the time, except it doesn't have the external adjuster...which is a pain in the ass whenever I need to adjust it.

Springs for clutch?

Re: I'm dumb. Y'all know it. So make me be less dumb. KDX? CRF? KTM?
I believe so. Plates, disks, springs. I'll check to see what is brandy new and what is used.

Re: I'm dumb. Y'all know it. So make me be less dumb. KDX? CRF? KTM?
Were I you I'd pull that silly clutch, put those parts back in and make me buy my own damned clutch.
But then .. I'm not about to argue or anything.
