    Jetting

Find out what size main jet the bike has now and maybe step up a notch or 2. I may even have a bunch of jets from my banshee that will work. You can also adjust the needle clip.

I just put a slip-on on the 450 and did the rejet at the same time. I went from a 158 main jet to a 180 with no clip changes, the airbox lid has also been removed. The thing runs flawless Though it is a bit on the loud side

    Jetting

The KDX is jetted crazy rich stock. I put a pipe, silencer, RAD valve, ported cylinder and rifle bored carb on mine, took off the airbox lid, and jetted it one step leaner everywhere, main, needle, and pilot. It was still a bit on the rich side, but never puked a plug so I rode it like that.GREAT trail bike.Let it breath a little, you'll be amazed at the difference.
