We all know how this jump ends...

4 hours in the emergency room, separated shoulder, and some medical term for "amnesia" since I dont remember any of it

Im actually falling to the left and landed straight on the ground shoulder/head first, no suspension relief from the bike

also at the hospital I dont know if anyone heard the news but a young boy waas struck and killed by a branch trick or treating. well his family was right next to me and seeing the pain they were in makes you see life in a different perspective. I hope Im never in there shoes....ever

heres some videos before the crash

Probably too late from that picture. It looks like his front wheel was just touching down.

If you land like that with the throttle pinned you have a better chance of riding it out. Not much better, but a little. Yes, it would have been a lot better to correct in the air, but it still helps the situation.

Na bud it was over by the sandpit, ironically, the area with 98% sand and 2% hard ground, I manage to dive head first into the 2% lol

dont regret it at all, so much fun

93, where 3 lanes become 4 going south and 4 lanes become 3 going north.

Its very quiet, no one is ever there and as long as youre not being an idiot like driving around the buildings parking lots etc.. no one really bothers you.

I also pick up any trash I see around that place, less one reason for them to hammer down on us out there.

Ive had security guards tell me to have a great time and other's to tell me to screw. I guess it's the shift really but if you go there at night, youre there by yourself with like 847878 other deer that like to roam around

Also: The only time Ive seen cops come down there was during the summer when these kids were doing donuts in the sand....well the dust from the sane comes onto the highway which then bothers a lot of people. Other than that theres been no problem at all with cops.

I did something like that at Crow Hill once, but I got my feet fully overhead, kept the bike flat and landed it. The corner worker told me "no feet off maneuvers!" I was like, uh, yeah OK. I didn't know about that rule. Won't happen again... I was thinkin "fuck, I was lucky to survive that and you thought I was doing a superman?!"

Is there a lot of space to ride out there? I live right down the street in Wilmington looking for a spot to ride. Just got a ticket yesterday in Billerica and told never to go back so that spots out of the question. Do you kno an address or could tell me where to park? Id love to ride there before the seasons over.

P.S Hope you heal well, and quick.

+1, I work right down the street and it's not a bad drive from home either. Can you PM me a location?

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Its the spot 2 mins from my house - mostly pits - some powerlines / trails through woods by railroad tracks

The spot 6 mins from my house has trails criss crossing powerlines.

almost - you'd have to ride past the state police barracks on 125 though to get there

Used to be trails most of the way then houses went in - there is a parking area right off the highway and a few other 'secret' parking spots I might happen to know of that are off in where the actual trail stuff is. Stuff by my house is heaven for street legal cuz you can pop in on one side and pop out the other - doable with truck / trailer though too (though as a reminder none of the stuff in MA is 'legal' but everything I've heard of these areas is that it is 'tolerated')

Aww Sheppo - learn to live a little!

There are some nice trails in MA - you just don't want to be caught on them / you have to know which parts are 'tolerated'
