Any good areas to take kids riding....

We bought one of our boys an ATV and the other one a CR85 They haven't ridden since they were 7 and are now 14. So I was wondering where to go in the Taunton area. Also where should I go to get them all the gear that they are going to need. They are asking for gift certs for xmas to buy the gear they are going to need... Thanks for input and ideas...

I think there are a few areas in middleboro to go, and the freetown state forest.

freetown is the only legal place on the area.

i cant remember if they allow 4 wheelers.

i know 25 years ago they did, then they didn't.

to say freetown is rocky would be a understatement.

    Bikes only in Freetown.

There's a small place in Oxford that is open all year for off-road riding, and it's tame enough for beginners. Bikes only.

A Massachusetts "ORV" plate (yellow), or any state street plate, would satisfy registration requirements. The place is open all year, unless they close it due to flooding. Great place for small kids, but there is some large truck traffic to be aware of. Again, bikes okay -- no quads.

Thank You... Good to know about Freetown State not allowing the ATV's.
