    knobby knife

Anybody else using this to "sharpen" tires? I've used mine a few times, and I'm not quite sure it's worth the effort vs. mounting up a new tire.

    Re: knobby knife

I raced a PSTR scramble today on a "sharpened" MT16 that had been completely rounded off. It worked every bit as good as a brand new tire. I actually think I'll be breaking this thing out more often.

Roland uses it regularly to get a little more life out of his stuff too.

Given it some thought but haven't bought one yet.

I guess I'm one of those people that wants to let other people guinea pig it for me and tell me if it is worth it before I spend the money on the tool and the time doing it to a tire.

still havent tried one either but seems like a good tool to have around.

you can use it to sipe knobs for specific terrain too, right? not just cut edges off? of course the tire wouldn't last too long after but i bet you could get some sick traction.
