Makes them shiny.
Rocks will mess em up, but there's nary a rock to be found down here in cranberry country.

They make spikes specifically for little to no snow coverage, a course like that can't wear them any faster or worse then studded snow tires on a carOriginally Posted by Paul_E_D

That's what he's on. Except the gun studs as pictured above, not the big fan screws.

You can try mine out if it's still around after the snow's gone.
I recently found out about, and joined, NETRA and didn't realize that there were so many events so close to me. Seems like there is something at least every month throughout the riding season. Since my 640 is a little too heavy for the enduro's and turkey runs (I'd love to try a hare scramble but I'm a little intimidated at this point) I've been thinking thinking about getting a 2 stroke. I've not only never owned a two stroke before, I've never even ridden one!
I have been thinking a lot about the 200XCW, figuring it shouldn't be "too" much bike for me as a first 2t bike and would be good for banging around my tight woods at home. I'm just curious what your reasons for going from a 300EXC to a 200 were?

Plus if I remember correctly, that 200 is LIGHT. Like 125/85 light.
209lbs.

That's what I'm concerned with, I see a lot of 300's for sale, but I don't come across too many 200's. I think I could grow into a 200 pretty nice, but I think much bigger will get me into trouble.
Edit: the more and more I look at and read about these 2 strokes, the more I want one!

So true. At 30min per moto, these are the shortest scrambles I've done. They're still kicking the shit outta me, because there just isn't anyplace to rest. Good job by your friend Rada!

Some onboard with CVet destroyer Cody Hallet. I've trail ridden with both Cody and Freddy and couldn't keep them in sight, even cruising on long stretches of power line.
that C Vet vid was awesome! great race!
crap, those guys are novice? they're jammin'! how's the rest of the C Vet field? that would be my class
still have the PSTR Wareham event on my radar...

The rest of cvet is full of a hodgepodge of ability levels.
From former A riders like Hallet to the overweight sit-downers.
Being as the winter stuff is a no points, fun race, it leaves the door sorta wide open for blatant sandbagging.
Hallet blew my doors off when he went by. Like I wasn't even there, and even though I know I'm not the fastest cat through the trees, I can hold my own.
