Who's Barry?
Barry is the gumby that does the voiceovers in all those Enduro Training vids :D

You're welcome.
I could hear his voice reading the picture
not saying they are (or will ever) make a comeback...but I do see a few more people coming to the dark side
even at LAB2V 2016 - saw a few!

new enough bike that aftermarket support exists - dude has a 4.3 gallon tank or something!
..that actually doesn't suck. It's weird.
Could just be the accent.
it's the content and delivery. crazy to see how many videos he (they) produce now. helpful and entertaining.
Just watched that vid, my take away is I need to get a 250SX head and CDI for my 300 to truly scare the shit out of myself properly.
Lighter flywheel too.
And turn the power-valve to 11.
Keeping your shit on the inside is so over rated.
Had a sprinkler tech in my facility to fix a leak in our suppression system today. He's a big dumb animal who rides Harleys and tells me his motto is "it ain't gotta be fast, as long as it's loud!" After we talking about riding for a bit he tells me he used to race motocross back in the 80's. Says he had an '84 YZ250 and it was a hell of a ride, but every 2nd or 3rd time he rode it the powerband would break! Things was a piece of junk, he says it would just get all mashed up and he'd have to take it out and put in a new powerband. :jerkoff:
wow
...and he's over on www.ifyoucanreadthisthebitchfelloff.com talking about this youngin' that bought his "classic powerband story" hook, line 'n sinker
i can hear the hearty beer-gut-roars from here
:spit:
he needs a Kevlar powerband, dem suckas neva brake

I've found that most people who I talk to who "used to ride" are pathological liars.
When I used to own a classic Mini Cooper, everyone I met used to race one... Hmmmm. Riiiight.
That topic came up recently. According to my father and uncle the mini was stupid common in SCCNH and around loudon/Bryar back in the 70's, even some ice racing. My take was it was the SV650 of "sportscar" racing to many. Dad says the snow banks at the ice races were usually mini-shaped by the end.
So, you know. Possible.
Except there were never really that many minis brought here. Maybe I met all the people who in fact got one? I think it is lore. They really captured the imagination as such giant killing race cars.
10K cars total made it to the US. That's not many given the numbers of people who "raced a mini" back in the day.
