Reed was chasing RV hard til Reed crashed and ended his season. RV will runaway with it now unless RD can challenge him or JS stops crashing.
Reed status:
damage.. 2 broken ribs, broken spinous T6. Torn ACL and fractured tib fib...
Hopefully we see Catanzaro (CT rider) make the 250 mains on the rest of the east coast series and see DeCotis soon as well.

That Reed crash sure looked nasty.

Bad news last 2 series for him - major getoff at Milliville National last summer that somehow didn't injure him, and now Dallas SX which did lots of damage. He is a team of one rider with a manager, a mechanic, a semi driver, and a technical director. Makes me wonder if he will sign someone to ride for his team, maybe just for the east coast sx series.

He might not be ready for the outdoors. Obviously if he doesn't pick someone up this year he doesn't have the cost of travel (plane and rig) as well as other expenses, but I'm guessing the rig is leased for the year, his team probably has salaries that he will pay them. At that point I wonder if he would pick someone up for the incremental expense, but who is good enough and available (Ben Townley, Pourcell - though sometimes a head case). Next year I could see a Dean Wilson as they are very friendly and train together.
Guess I was wrong about a replacement rider:

FYI at this time I have zero interest in putting someone on my bike. Benefit to cost ratio doesn't even come close to making sense... last thing on my mind to be honest..and not my bike to give away...

No idea how to correctly post a twitter message on here but this is a tweet from Chad Reed earlier today
