missed this... hmm, not sure on running issues related to no o-rings. it's not a super precise seal as is. re-read your orig post to understand what was happening ... were the temps high and speeds low for the Clough session? something as simple as lugging the bike around on a hot day can cause loading up issues. do you adjust your air screw each time you ride? as you mention, could just be a tuning issue OR the bike just wasn't getting 'cleaned out' by ripping around now and then.
Nvm...posted to late to get on the "it's not like..." Train
I dont mess with the carb. It wasnt crazy hot and yes speeds were low. But i had similar issues when riding on dirt or paved roads during the classic. I dont know how to explain it. It just didnt sound right. No ring-a-ding, more like a growl i guess. Sometimes it would be fine and then just turn.
lol, nah man, you already got back at me for that one by pissing down the side of my truck, remember?
No, that was for your balls on my door handle just moments before the alleged pissing on your truck.
Your wife gave me an explodey egg n cheese on english muffin. We're even.
I totally still owe oxx...

Lol iirc you TOLD me to do that hahahaha
Yeah. I don't remember shit.
You remember wrong...
You & Amanda were fighting about something... I was all "MOMMY, DADDY, STOP FIGHTING!" *takes a bite*... BLAM! Yolk all down my shirt. And you yelled "HA!!! INSTANT KARMA!"
Or.... or was it you that got the explody egg & cheese and I was the one that yelled "HA!!! INSTANT KARMA!" :lmao:
lol, I thought it went down my shirt :wtf: :lmao:
Jesus Christ, dude... our lives are blending together.
This is awkward...
But yes, a missing exhaust oring can and will cause running issues.
Off topic. I replaced the seal, springs and o ring. Riding sat. Will see how it goes.
bike ran very well yesterday with the new o ring. no leaks (yet). still getting a little spooge still out of where the headpipe connects to the head.
got another front tire flat though. maybe a rear as well. i havent checked yet. this will be my second front tube in 3 rides. i may have to go tubliss, or bib mousse...at least in the front. tubliss is obviously the less expensive option.
bottom line, im just not good enough for rocks. i dont know how to keep the bike light and i just pinball my way through without any ability to stay on course. i know i have to go faster and stand up.
FATTY, 13psi :D
Suspension?
And I figure most 2t are super light and bounce all ovah
Are you on the heavy side? You'll probably want to be on the higher side of pressures if you are. And if it's been a little while between rides, make sure you're checking for lost air pressure.
Learning to pick better lines, lighten the front on contact, and stand to absorb hits, will also help with more than just tires too.
He's as light as a ton of feathers.
