Hoe and family? That is a lot of anxiety. Today, it's vogue to refer to your hoe as a "thot"

    bananas are gross.
They're probably one of just a small handful of things I can't choke down, along with cantaloupe, and tbd.

The only reason I mentioned them is because I know they're a staple in many parts of the world.

In a few weeks I hope to link up with a friend who is riding with a group across country for a few days of bicycle camping. Bikepacking. The few small motocamping excursions I've done have gone well, and always leave me thirsty for more.

Assuming you did drops for the AT, did you go mostly dehydrated foods or just reup more often?
I did food drops. Dehydrated meals and attempted long stretches between resupplies. THat sucked. More stops and fresher food is the way to go. (still using drops).

I also did the long trail, which might be a better fit for you. 4 weeks ish. I went light 25lb pack, running shoes, more frequent stops. That is the way to go.

I have done a lot of cool trips. Mule supported summit of Pico Duarte (10k ft) in the D.R., surf trips etc. But my last big adventure was 7 days on dirtbikes in Guatemala and it left me wanting more!

Haha, yeah my thot gets lonely and I can't fit her in my overnight bag

Cilantro hate I can get behind. Smells like blood to me. Fastest way to ruin some good Mexican.

Nice. Also fun. Never done any long trips. Was planning a ride to eastern white mountains last year before everything on my bike started to disintegrate. Decided to wait until I get a new bike. Riding on the road sucks though, it's miserable on a MTB and chews up tires, but I'd rather be on trails 90% of the time and do smaller miles. Will probably have to drive to get anywhere worth more than a day trip!

Awesome stuff. My standard overnight bag is well under 20lb now so I can see 25lb lasting maybe one week with minimal supplies. Definitely far off on my radar right now. I guess if I had cell service I could still work though..

    Carry on.

OH, how do you hate cilantro?! You like salsa? it makes the best ingredient.

Despite its roots as an acronym I would posit that "thot" is now typically used as a noun, loosely describing your basic hoe.

And yes, I like salsa if it doesn't smell like blood!

Cilantro, rosemary, and pine nuts taste like disinfectant soap to me. That's not good. I hear there's a genetic marker for people that do/do not like cilantro.

You are part of the 1/4 of the population that don't have the ability to process the flavors of cilantro properly. Congrats.
