I might be doing the scramble this Sunday. I'll have to find where I left my YZ though...

No moto fo me -- that's something I'd have to work up to. This crud in my lungs is kicking my ass so I'm going to pass on the scramble as well.

They offer private intstruction for 50 an hour, but just following other riders will teach you a lot. Jumping on a track is much easier than on natural terrain. Come on out. People will help you.

Crosspost: (don't know if anyone looks at ODFU anymore)

So, They changed the track yet again, and this time they made it really TECHNICAL! Justin and I had fun trying to figure out some effective lines through the more complex turns.

To get any sort of rythym going around this circuit you had to be proficient at flat slippery turns, of camber turns, jumps in turns, even a little sand in one turn for a change. The big table had a tricky S the started off camber then had a soft berm leading onto the ramp.

I had one off at the bottom of the landing of the big table. I put the bike up in the chandaliers, and then over braked for the hard left at the bottom of the ramp. Slid both ends while dragging a knee hard. My guard moved and I got some nice roadrash and some swelling, but it's not to bad.

Overall a blast, and the price will drop to 30 bucks coming soon!

    Bout fucking time!

Guys going twice a week ($60 total) is better than charging $75 per visit and guys going once a month.

    It's the whole 99-cent thing.

    Re: Mototown March 28th

A freshly setup suspension for woods probably wouldn't do well there, huh....

Anyone have a spare set of forks/shock for a CR125?

You're not going to run with the big dogs, but so what. There's still a ton to learn riding the track. You race an EX! and you're worried about suspension?

HEY, my frame acts as my suspension on the EX

You think Pirelli M16's would do alright down there?

Lemme know when you're headed to Crow Hill. That place looks less dangerous. They got a defibrillator on hand?

Crow Hill is standing water city. Last few times I was there it hadn't rained in a few days but it was still a big giant puddle. Something is wrong when there are puddles on the tabletops.

I'm about 10 minutes away from there, I'll check it out once they open and let you know.

    Re: Mototown March 28th

Crow Hill is super safe. It's prolly safer than your average ride in the woods.

Mototown is another story. I don't think it's overly dangerous nowadays though

Neither place has ambulances on site. Defibs, I don't know, but we can hook you up to a 4T that has electric start!
